Advantages of having an elevating cabin
With 360° uninterrupted visibility at 7.0m seating or 7.5m standing the scope of vision is vastly increased as is the capability of surveillance equipment and efficiency of antennas fitted onto the roof.
In a crowd management situation the elevated cabin is very conspicuous at its fully elevated height and is an added deterrent to miscreants and those looking to cause trouble as the system can be seen to be not only manned but fitted with surveillance equipment that is constantly monitoring and recording the situation.
Moving display boards can be attached to the cabin panels to provide public inormation and instructions.
The cabin features tinted, double-glazed glass that is blast-proofed for operator safety.
Advantages of having a trailer system rather than specific vehicle
Trailer-mounted systems eliminate the single point of failure of a truck-mounted system. If the engine will not start not only does the system become unserviceable but a valuable asset housing sensitive information could be stranded in hostile territory. A trailer mounted system also has less servicing demands as a truck mounted system.
A wide range of tow trucks can be used to move the system, therefore not tie-ing up an expensive dedicated truck.
The cabin is easily detached from the trailer for movement by helicopter, C-130 or other suitable transport aircraft. The cabin is re-inforced for helicopter movement.
