Command and control tower at Emergency Services Show Command and control room

C2 Mobile Towers brought their new mobile, elevating multi-use Visual Incident Control Room to the Emergency Services Show to demonstrate its capability to today's Police, Security and Emergency Departments.

The multi-purpose mobile cabin can be used as a simple observation platform or equipped to provide a sophisticated rapid response command and control unit.  The elevated C2 mobile platform provides mission critical information with the benefit of 360 degree line of sight at a height of 7.5m.

In a crowd management situation, the elevating cabin can save an operating officer many people on the ground.  Being conspicuous at 8m height can be an added deterrent to miscreants and those looking to cause trouble as the system can be seen to be not only manned but fitted with surveillance equipment that is constantly monitoring and recording the situation.  Moving display boards can be attached to the cabin panels providing public information/instructions.

The system has been designed for simple and quick deployment to enable rapid incident response in any location and is trailer mounted to negate the single point of failure attributed to truck mounted systems and can be towed by an undedicated towing vehicle in the 8,000kgs ULW class.

Additionally, ballistic protection can be provided, along with blast proof and bullet proof glass.

Raising C2 surveillance to new heights at DVD

Millbrook, 24 - 25 June 2009

C2 Mobile Towers demonstrated their tower at DVD for the first time and provided an elevated view over the Bridport exhibition area.

Mobile Elevating Tower at DVD 2009

C2 Mobile Towers launched its Fully Mobile Elevating Visual Control Room in February 2009 to provide army, police, homeland security, border control and special forces with a multi-purpose cabin that can be as simple as an observation platform or a sophisticated command and control unit.  Fitted with the most technically advanced surveillance, tracking, targeting and image solution interfaces the C2 tower provides mission critical information at any location.

The elevating control room works at a height of 8m providing 360 degree surveillance capability for 6 operators plus 2 on the outside balcony.

The system is easily deployed within an hour by a maximum of four personnel and is trailer mounted to negate the single point of failure attributed to truck mounted systems.

In a crowd management situation, the elevating cabin can save an operating commander many people on the ground and being conspicuous at 8m height can be an added deterrent.

Base Camp security is a further use for the elevating tower. Military police can have the benefit of height to observe inside and outside camps, maintaining a conspicuous and efficient surveillance capability. The system is lowered in under 4 minutes; therefore in the case of hostile fire can be made safe quickly. Being easily moved means the system does not become a target by being situated in the same position permanently. Ballistic protection can be provided.
